María Fernanda Enríquez Martínez

María Enríquez is an artist from Morelos, Mexico. Her practice focuses on the reflection of everyday objects, rethinking their relationship with the user and questioning how these bonds contribute to the construction of identity. She holds a degree from the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking “La Esmeralda.”

She was a recipient of the PECDA Morelos Young Creators Grant (2024) and received an award at the Biennial of Contemporary Painting, Printmaking and Ceramics Alfredo Zalce (2024). Her work has been selected for the 5th Arte Lumen Biennial of Painting, Drawing and Printmaking (2023), the Alfredo Zalce Biennial (2022 and 2024), and the Tijuana Triennial: 1st International Painting Exhibition (2021).

Since 2021, she has co-managed Proyecto E.M.E, a platform dedicated to the visibility, support, and development of opportunities for emerging artists. Her work has been shown collectively at institutions such as the Museo de Arte de Zapopan (2025), Museo Alfredo Zalce (2022 and 2024), Museo de la Ciudad de México (2023), Centro Cultural El Rule (2023), ACHE Galería (2023), Espacio Cabeza (2022), Galería Compás 88 (2022), La Quiñonera (2022), Teatro Fernando Calderón (2020), Centro Nacional de las Artes (2019), Galería Luciana Cabarga (2019), and Foto Museo Cuatro Caminos (2018), among others.
